Events & Communications Officer

Yateley Town Council is currently seeking a part-time Events & Communications Officer, on a 15 hours per week, 18 month fixed-term contract, to join our busy and friendly team. We are looking for an organised person with the energy to successfully develop and deliver the Council’s events programme, in this new and exciting role.

Yateley Town Council prides itself on being an innovative, community minded Council, working together to service the needs of our wonderful town. You will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver the Council’s community events programme and will be working with our vibrant community as part of the project management process. The role also involves the coordination of the Council’s corporate communications, on and offline, alongside the proactive promotion of the community events programme.

  • Have events or other project management experience gained from either the private or public sector;
  • Possess excellent organisational and people-skills and can work flexibly to achieve successful outcomes;
  • Have a ‘can-do’ attitude and a flair for promotion and communication;
  • Enjoy the rewards of working with the community to achieve something special and can work flexibly when required.

In return we can offer you a rate of pay of £13.99 per hour (£10,943 per annum), 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays pro-rata and the option to join the Local Government Pension Scheme.
