Last Modified: Tuesday, 27th November 2018
Yateley Town Council are pleased to announce that their new Town Clerk will be Rochelle Halliday, current Parish Clerk at Hartley Wintney Parish Council.
Cllr Spencer, Yateley Town Council Mayor said “Rochelle impressed the panel with her in depth knowledge of Town Council matters, as well as with her attitude and personality. The Council is very pleased to have secured such a high calibre Clerk to support Councillors in leading the Council forward.”
Jane Biscombe, the Council’s current Clerk added “Making the decision to move on from Yateley to pursue new challenges in Weymouth was one of the most difficult work-related decisions I have ever made. Yateley Town Council is such an amazing place to work and everyone is so supportive and enthusiastic, that I knew it needed someone with great skills to take on the role of Town Clerk. I am confident that the council will be in safe hands with Rochelle and wish her every success.”
Rochelle Halliday responded "I am very much looking forward to working with and getting to know the Councillors, staff and communities of Yateley, Darby Green and Frogmore. I have enjoyed working in Hartley Wintney and will miss the people and community groups I have worked with during my time as both Clerk and previously Events Manager. I am committed to ensuring the Parish Council there find a suitable Clerk to take forward the plans and projects we are currently working on."
It is anticipated that Rochelle will take up her new post in February 2019. All enquiries should be directed to Yateley Town Council at firstname.lastname@example.org, or on 01252 872198.
