Since being elected in 2022, I’ve focused on leading environmental initiatives to reduce our community’s carbon footprint and enhance local biodiversity. Working alongside our fantastic team, I’ve led award-winning schemes and championed local energy projects — all aligned with our town’s climate goals. My wife and I have lived in Frogmore for over 15 years, raising our children here. It’s a place we care deeply about, and I’m committed to helping shape a more sustainable future while building an inclusive and inspiring community.

Once persuaded to stand for election as a councillor in 2019, I found the role very satisfying and it has been good to give something back to the community. Outside the council I am retired, having spent 40 years in IT, starting as a programmer/analyst and ending up as an Enterprise Architect. My interests are: keeping fit, travelling, building stuff, maintaining a classic car, and cooking. I am lucky enough to spend a lot of time in Norway, where we have a lake cabin. I am still learning Norwegian!
I was elected to Yateley Town Council for the Yateley Green ward in 2011. I was also elected to serve as Mayor for 7 years and Deputy Mayor for 5 years. During this time, I was also elected as Chairman of Hart District Council, where I have served the ward of Yateley West since 2014.
I've lived in Yateley all my life and been a local Councillor for over 20 years. I was educated at Yateley School and Sixth Form, before going to University to read History & Politics. Yateley’s a great place to live, work and grow up; I’m proud of my part in making it that way.
I have lived in Yateley since the mid 80's. I joined Yateley Town Council as a Councillor in 2007. Prior to retiring, I had been in the Freight Forwarding business for 50 years, the last 20 running my own company.
I joined Yateley Town Council as a new councillor for Frogmore and Darby Green ward in May 2023. I was recruited by Adrian Collett, my role model, having been a FOCUS deliverer for some years. I had little or no knowledge about how councils worked and was fairly unaware of national and district politics also so I had a pretty steep learning curve to achieve. That said I have enormously enjoyed getting involved especially in the local groups and events. I love being a link between these groups to aid the gathering of collective information for beneficial purposes. I am a busy person, being the chairperson of the Daisy Chain Café for those with dementia in Yateley, the Vice Chairman of Oakley health’s Patient Participation Group, a member of Yateley’s U3a and of Frogmore’s Everyone Active group. It all keeps me out of mischief and positively focussed which has been important to me in my widowhood. I have two grown sons and ten grandchildren, so no peace for the wicked!

I have lived in Yateley since 1978 and did my mechanics apprenticeship at Monteagle Motors which is now Gayton House. I started my first business in 1992 in the mobile communications industry which included several Police and Ambulance contracts over the years. In May 2020 I purchased Yateley Motor Spares in the heart of Yateley Community. I became a councillor in May 2023 and enjoy being part of the community I live and work in.

I have lived in Yateley with my family since the 1980's. My sons both went to Yateley School, and I have been involved in a number of community-based initiatives in the town. My career has largely focused on working with young people, including for a national charity, St Peter's Church as well as working as a Senior Manager in the public sector. I was a founding trustee of Vision 4 Youth and served in that role for 12 years. I am pleased to represent the residents of Tudor & Vigo Ward on Yateley Town Council.
live and work in Yateley and greatly value the privilege we all share of living in this beautiful locality. My main aim as a councillor is to protect nature and work towards beneficial, proportionate and sustainable improvements for our community. I am also Chair of Trustees for Vision4Youth, a local charity which works hard to provide opportunities for positive activities for young people in our parish.
Cllr Bailey has been a Councillor for over 20 years, both for Yateley Town Council and Hart District Council. In 2025, he was also elected as a Councilor for Yateley East & Blackwater at Hampshire County Council.
I have been a councillor on YTC since 1987, with a gap between 1999 and 2016, with an interest in planning, the environment, climate change and biodiversity, and have lived in Yateley since 1983. I am a retired printer who spent my last few working years for the Highways Agency based at Hindhead Tunnel. My wife and I will be celebrating our 49th anniversary this Christmas, have two boys and three grandchildren living locally. In my spare time I write, have published over 200 stories, mostly fantasy fiction and some local history, and expect to complete my 24th novel this year. I wrote sports reports in the Gazette for over 20 years, have produced football programmes for 30 years, including programmes for Yateley United, and occasional online magazines covering local events.
