We are delighted to share that Yateley has been awarded Hampshire & Isle of Wight Village of the Year! Sharing first place with another outstanding community, this achievement recognises the incredible people, groups and organisations that make Yateley such a vibrant, welcoming and successful place to live.
As if that wasn’t enough, Yateley was also named Winner of the Best Youth Initiative Award, recognising the outstanding opportunities and support available for young people in our community.
These awards are a reflection of the dedication, hard work and community spirit shown every day by our residents, volunteers, local organisations, schools, businesses, sports clubs and community groups. The judges were impressed by the breadth of activities, facilities and initiatives taking place across the town, and by the strong sense of pride and partnership that makes Yateley so special.
A huge thank you to everyone who contributes to our community. These awards belong to all of you.
We would also like to congratulate the other towns and villages recognised at the awards and thank the organisers for a wonderful evening celebrating communities from across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Our thanks also go to Elvetham Heath Parish Council for hosting the event. We were especially pleased to see our neighbours in Eversley recognised with two award wins and a runner-up place!
We’re celebrating Yateley and the incredible community spirit that makes our town such a special place.
Well done, Yateley!
